VW ID production version will be unveiled in September

Though it will be possible to pre-order the car in May


Volkswagen ID is going to be the first VW's electric car based on flexible MEB platform, created specially for EVs. After the recent annual board meeting the company released, that ID hatchback production version is going to be unveiled in September 2019.

However, it will be possible to order the vehicle even before the production starts. VW also claimed that they will start collecting pre-orders on May 8th - in less than two months from now.

Expectedly, VW ID would be quite cheap urban hatchback. Earlier VW management hinted that the base version of a hatchback to be priced less than $30,000 and have a max range around 550 km (340 miles).
