Volkswagen is going on with its production facilities adaptation for electric cars assembling. The US market is on the plan for the automaker - in a recent press-release VW confirmed its Tennessee plant to become the center of the brand’s EV division production and development among the American market.

ID.4 is expected to become the first electric model to be produced at the Tennessee plant. Though, VW didn’t yet name the date of its launch, only mentioning that the release is coming soon.

Apart from the EV assemble, VW’s Tennessee plant is about to become the center of electric mobility research and development in the nearest future. The automaker’s plan is to deploy the laboratory to test battery tech, cells and battery packs here. The launch of a laboratory is expected in early 2021.
