Shanghai is chosen as the place to unveil this car for a reason - the SUV will launch in Chinese market in 2021.

ID ROOMZZ is yet the latest addition to the VW's ID lineup of electric vehicles. One of the SUV's biggest features is the interior transformation, hugely caused by self-driving capabilities. For instance, during the autonomous commutes the seats may be turned inward to enable a more communicative atmosphere for the passengers. Moreover, each seat may be moved to a reclined position separately. As a result of such capabilities, manual driving transformed into the additional driving mode - the steering wheel and completely digitalized dashboard appears to hover in front of the driver.

ID ROOMZZ is equipped with 82 kWh battery pack, enabling 450 km (280 miles) range. The battery powers two electric motors on both axles, that accelerates the large SUV from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.6 seconds and than until the top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph).

VW ID ROOMZZ is going to be unveiled for the public at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, going from 18 to 26 April.
