Volkswagen ID.4 recently was chosen as the World Car of the Year. That’s VW’s first award since 2013 when the title was given to the Golf. This time, all-electric SUV received the majority of votes from 93 automotive journalists from 24 countries.
The World Car of the Year may be awarded to any car being produced in at least 10,000 vehicles annual rate and sold at least on two continents. In such case ID.4 seems to be a very logical choice - the electric SUV is the second among VW’s new generation of electric vehicles, and the first EV to be available in Europe, the US and China.
