The number of EV chargers surpassed 1 million worldwide

According to Bloomberg, the number of public EV charging stations passed 1 million in May 2020. It is also stressed, that it increased twice through last three years.

China holds the lead in number of chargers deployed having over the half of all chargers globally. Europe and USA follow with much lower numbers. However, earlier this year the EU confirmed the plan to deploy one million of new chargers by 2025.

Positions 4 and 5 are held by Japan and South Korea responsively. By the way, S. Korea has more stations deployed than other countries out of Top-5 combined. That’s an incredibly rough difference.
