The Boring Company tunnel vs. traffic - the race video

Elon Musk's The Boring Company aims at reducing the time of urban commutes using the network of underground tunnels for electric cars. In such tunnels cars on Autopilot may reach their destination in a few minutes, compared to over an hour rides through traffic jams on surface.

Recently The Boring Company created an effective presentation of their technology convenience. Two Tesla Model 3 cars were navigated for the same point in Los Angeles, though one drove on city streets, while another went underground, taking on of the tunnels. You may see the result in a video below.

By the way, in the tunnel Model 3 was driving only using its Autopilot. There were no tracking wheels or any other additional equipment to navigate.
