Tesla Model S was introduced in 2012. 4 year later it went through an exterior refresh, and is still being produced without any change in its design. However, according to latest rumors, Tesla’s flagship may soon get a refresh.

In 2018 other rumors from inside the company suggested that Tesla is working on Model S/X interior update. Though, it was delayed due to Model 3 production ramp being the main priority back then. However, now Tesla is in a much better state, successfully exiting the ‘production hell’.

According to Tesla internal email communication last week, Model S and Model X assembly line in Fremont will be shut down from December 24 to January 11. Such pauses in assembly lines workflow are quite common for automakers throughout the Christmas holidays, though now it is longer than usual.
