Last week Elon Musk confirmed next-gen Tesla Roadster will look differently (better) from the prototype, firstly unveiled in 2017. However, it seems that Roadster will also be faster than anyone could imagine.
Recently, Tesla Roadster prototype was added to the Petersen Auto Museum collection in Los Angeles. It was spotted that the plaque located in front of the car has very interesting text. It says that the optional SpaceX package adds up to the vehicle’s power with cold air thrusters. That equipment should make Roadster accelerate 0-60 mph in 1.1 sec
The next-gen Tesla Roadster prototype was shown publicly in 2017. Back there, Musk claimed that 1.9 sec. of 0-60 mph will be actual for the ‘base version’, though, nobody knew what is going to be so special about more expensive versions. Now we seem to have a glue.
