Earlier we already admitted that the preparation for Tesla Model Y production is going quicker than expected. Back to the Model Y launch event last year Elon Musk claimed the production to start in fall 2020, though a few weeks ago Tesla officially confirmed the schedule to switch to summer 2020. However, now it may turn out that Tesla starts deliveries already in February, at least in North America.
The information was submitted to Reddit via u/Quaf4, who made the pre-order and now wait for his Model Y. According to his words, yesterday he received a call from an employee at Tesla Oakville in Ontario, Canada, who told about the upcoming deliveries.

Tesla employee confirmed Model Y Performance (the most expensive version with highest performance) to enter deliveries first. Model Y Long Range AWD would be the next one, expected in March-April 2020.
