Tesla Model 3 small overlap crash test - IIHS video

20.09.2019
Frontal crash with small overlap is one of the most challenging crash tests conducted by IIHS. The hit is made on 40 mph (64.4 km/h) into a rigid narrow barrier, located at the vehicle's front headlamp area. Thus the car's body should by very tough and well-designed to minimize the damage to the cabin and leave the possibility for passengers to leave the car. Moreover, the front wheel is oftenly being dismounted after the hit and its path should also be safe enough to leave enough space for driver's feet.

Tesla Model 3 small overlap test was recently made by IIHS - the organization published its video yesterday. As usual, the electric car showed great performance - check its result in the full report.
