Tesla’s Full Self-Driving autopilot package is going through a rapid development. By the end of this year Tesla is going to release new major update, that should make FSD even smarter. Though, FSD package has one drawback - it is expensive. Today it costs $10,000.
However, Elon Musk claimed Tesla will launch FSD under subscription model with fixed monthly payments. According to one of the Musk’s latest tweets, FSD subscription will be launched in early 2021.
Probably, full price FSD purchase seems to be the better option for long-term Tesla ownership. Though, autopilot subscription should be highly appreciated by those owners who lease their vehicles or plan to put it into Robotaxi fleet.
