Tesla Inc. value may rise to $500b due to self-driving tech

Elon Musk predicts 10x growth


At the current moment, Tesla Inc. value is close to $42 billion. At the recent Tesla Autonomy event Elon Musk claimed company capitalization should rise about 10 times to $500 billion.

The reason for such dramatic increase is hidden in self-driving tech. Musk hopes, that the situation may take place when the Autopilot will be advanced enough to launch the Robotaxi carsharing service.

The thing is that Robotaxi will allow Tesla owners to add their cars into autonomous taxi fleet to earn money, thus increasing the cars’ real value - on average, it may reach $250,000.
