Chinese market is obviously one of the most important for Tesla - there is no more promising region in terms of volume EV sales, even despite extremely hard competition. Tesla seem to show great results considering the deliveries growth rate according to the latest China Passenger Car Association report.

For instance, Tesla Model Y volume production was launched at the Gigafactory Shanghai only in January, leading to 1,600 cars delivered back then. In February Tesla made a great leap forward to 4,630 cars delivered, though the result of March shows 10,151 deliveries, meaning very massive advantage throughout first three months of production.

It’s interesting to note, that the growing demand for Model Y had never affected Model 3 sales in China. Official data shows over 25 thousand deliveries of a cheaper vehicle.
