Tesla constructs several Giga Berlin buildings simultaneously

Tesla Gigafactory in Berlin carries a great amount of importance - the thing is that the European spec of Tesla Model Y won’t go into production until the factory is launched. That is the automaker’s policy on Model Y production - the electric SUV will enter new markets only when it is assembled locally. That’s the reason both for Giga Berlin construction pace and Gigafactory Shanghai expansion speed.

According to the Tesla’s plan, Giga Berlin is going to launch in July 2021. Though, in order to bring Model Y to the market as soon as possible, Tesla is accelerating the construction process.

According to the most recent drone video (shot on August 7) there are at least 3 different buildings being deployed at the Giga Berlin site. Interestingly, construction materials are being delivered right to the site by a railway.
