One of the Tesla Autopilot updates earlier this year brought STOP signs and traffic lights detection. The Autopilot would stop the car if necessary, and to continue driving or even to go through the crossing with green lights drivers had to confirm that by pressing the accelerator pedal.

Though, at the end of last week Tesla released a new software update. It allows to drive through the crossings on green lights without any help or confirmation from the driver. In fact there should be just two conditions met: the Tesla shouldn’t be driving on a turn lane, and there should be another vehicle driving in front.
