Skoda unveiled Enyaq — electric SUV based on VW’s MEB platform

After months of planning, teasing and preparation VW is finally starting to launch the pre-production versions of its long-anticipated electric cars. Czech SUV Skoda Enyaq is the new premiere, built around VW’s MEB modular platform.

Enyaq is designed concerning Skoda’s modern design language and follows its ‘Simpy Clever’ concept, basically meaning spacious and convenient interior.

In addition to the images of a production Enyaq, Skoda also shared some new details about its specs. The entry-level Enyaq 50 will be equipped with one 220 Nm motor, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.4 seconds and providing 340 km of range. The most powerful Enyaq RS with AWD and 460 Nm of torque accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and is able to cover about 460 km on a single charge. Enyaq 80 with 2WD and 310 Nm torque has the highest range of 510 km.

Totally there will be 5 trims, plus the Founders Edition version which will enter the production first with a limited volume. Enyaq production should start next spring in Czech Republic.
