Last week Rivian opened the configurator for a R1T pickup - main Tesla Cybertruck competitor. It was open only for those who placed a $1,000 deposit during last two years.
One week after Rivian confirmed all Launch Edition cars to be sold out already. The automaker didn’t disclose how many cars of that trim is going to be made. Launch Edition will be the first R1T trim Rivian is going to produce - it will be launched in June 2021, while other versions should enter the production only in January 2022.
Rivian claimed as well that their configurator is widely opened already since 9 AM PST November 23.
