Everything we know about Porsche electric car so far
Porsche unveiled the production version of their first all-electric car - the long anticipated Taycan. In this review we tell everything the automaker disclosed so far.
Versions, price and production timing
At first there will be only two top-tier versions available - Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S. Both are already available for the order priced at $150,900 and $185,000 respectively. Those are the the most expensive and fast Taycan versions.
Porsche claims to launch two cheaper versions by next year - those will be the base Taycan and Taycan 4S. Moreover, the Cross Turismo SUV is also expected soon - probably by the end of 2020.
Porsche Taycan specs
Taycan is a wide and low four-door sedan. It is 1,966 mm (77.4 inches) wide but only 1,380 mm (54.33 inches) high, making it look low and flat like a typical sporty Porsche. Taycan has a length of 4,963 mm (195.39 inches) and only 0.22 drag coefficient that is so far the lowest among the Porsche's entire lineup.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S may travel up to 412 km (256 miles) according to WLTP cycle. Taycan Turbo has a bit more range available - 450 km (280 miles) per single charge.
By the way, there is one interesting feature of Taycan's charging system. The door covering the charge ports may vibrate in case if it is blocked with ice, and the vibration becomes stronger until the ice is broken - kind of a great advantage for owners living in cold areas.
