New facts about BMW i4

20.11.2019

Now BMW don’t have any EV in its lineup except the i3 (and we don’t count the hybrid i8). However, the automaker is working on its electrification effort. BMW i4 should be the soonest realization of their plans, and this week the automaker shared some new details about that car.

i4 sales are scheduled on 2021. The electric car will have a 4-door coupe form factor (BMW call it Gran Coupe). The automaker claims it to be equipped with 80 kWh battery pack capable of 600 km (370 miles) range.

i4 should have an output of 530 hp approximately. 0-100 km/h (62 mph) is expected to be done in about 4 seconds.

i4’s high-voltage battery pack will support the 150 kW DC charging. In this case it would require only 35 minutes to be charged from 0 to 80%. Moreover, each 100 km (62 miles) of range should be added within 6 minutes of charging.
