Merecedes-AMG works on EQR electric crossover

According to CAR Magazine’s report, Mercedes-AMG is working on a new electric SUV which would be called EQR. The magazine’s source says that it is going to be a 7-seater based on a new EVA platform.

The fact that the car is being created by AMG means it is going to be quite fast and high-performance EV. According to the source inside the company, EQR may look familiar to Jaguar I-Pace: its design features will include low descending roof, wide body and low clearance.

EQR is expected to have a 1006 hp and 1350 Nm drivetrain. The battery pack would have slight over 100 kWh of capacity, providing over 700 km of range on a single charge.

Mercedes-AMG EQR is expected to debut not earlier than 2024.
