Mercedes unveiled all-electric EQA

Today German automaker carried the online unveiling of an EQA - the first out of four electric models that Mercedes plans to launch this year. The car will take its place under EQC in Mercedes’ lineup.

The first will be the EQA 250 version with front-wheel drive. It is equipped with 140 kW (190 hp) and 375 Nm electric motor. The top speed - 160 km/h and 0-100 km/h acceleration takes 8.9 seconds.

EQA 250 has a 66.5 kWh battery pack which allows it to travel 426 km (265 miles) on a single charge. Special Electric Intelligence navigation system will find a spot to charge up - it uses chargers’ location, estimated charging time, weather conditions and traffic data to create optimal routes. Using fast DC chargers may result in charging from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes, while home chargers will make it for approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes.

Mercedes EQA 250 is coming to European dealerships this spring. The car is priced at 47,540 Euro in Germany. More expensive trims, including AWD ones, are coming  a bit later.
