Lucid Motors is now working to bring its first vehicle, Lucid Air sedan, to production. The car is aimed at competing with Tesla Model S. Though, now it seems that the competition shall start later than excpected.
While unveiling the production Lucid Air the automaker claimed that first cars in Dream Edition trim are going to be ready in spring 2021. However, this week Lucid CEO Peter Rowlinson said Bloomberg that production cars will enter the market later, in the second half of 2021. The precise timing is a subject of discussion.
Though, Lucid Motors is preparing to enter the stock market by acquisition with SPAC-company. The IPO is expected to bring about $4.5 billion.
