Lexus UX 300e will have a 1 million km battery pack warranty

Lexus UX 300e is a compact urban SUV that’s going to be first Toyota’s mass-production electric vehicle. Next year it should enter the European market and Lexus actually gives a 1 million kilometer (about 600,000 miles) or 10 years warranty on the battery pack.

Apart from such generous warranty conditions, UX 300e battery pack has at least one more feature to amaze with - it is the air cooling system. Lexus’ official press-release suggests such system to be simpler and lighter than the liquid-cooling (which is widely used by various EV makers including Tesla), while providing at least the same level of qualities and characteristics. Though, the real estimates would be made only after the car is released.

Official specs sheet claims UX 300e to have 54 kWh battery pack with about 400 km NEDC range (250 miles). It is also expected to support 50 kW rapid charging.
