At the end of last week Germany announced an updated EV incentives package. One of the most noteworthy among them is the expansion of charging stations network.

According to the incentives, all gas stations in Germany will have to install chargers for electric vehicles. There are not much details yet like the timing of such procedure and the type of chargers required.

Additionally, new incentives include government subsidy of 6,000 euro for purchasing an electric car which costs 40,000 euro or less (previously the subsidy was 3,000 euro), and increased tax for huge SUVs with internal combustion engines that consume much gas.
