Ford showcased the European version of its new mass-production electric car last week in London. The first one of its special features is the name — since the Mustang coupe is not so legendary in Europe as it is in the US, the electric SUV would be called simply Mach-E.
⠀
Its European version is expected to have three trims. The cheapest Mach-E would have rear-wheel drive and two battery pack options. Mach-E AWD would have the same choice of batteries, but only with all-wheel drive. Special Mach-E First Edition is the most advanced one - it will have the largest battery and all-wheels drive. Also, there would be available the high-performance version of Mach-E, but it will take a while to enter the market.
Mach-E’s battery packs differ not only by their size, but also the charging speed. The smaller and cheaper one supports DC charging only at 115 kW, while the more expensive one may be charged at the 150 kW station.
⠀
First European Mach-E are expected to be delivered to the dealerships in late 2020. The pricing starts from 46,900 Euro for the cheapest one, the Mach-E AWD would start from 54,000 Euro, while the First Edition price tag starts from 66,800 Euro.
