This week Ford announced it is going to unveil the all-electric F150 pickup truck on May 19. The car will be named Lightning.
Ford F150 means extremely much for American market - the pickup was the most bestselling passenger car in the US. Such legendary model electrification is crucial for Ford to keep its share fighting against Tesla Cybertruck, Hummer EV and Rivian R1T.
Ford’s CEO Jim Farley shared the unveiling event announcement in his Twitter, comparing F150 with other cars that changed the automotive industry. For instance, he put it in one line with Ford Model T, Ford Mustang, Toyota Prius and Tesla Model 3.
