A few days ago we told you how Ford employees still work on Mustang Mach-E project remotely. Robert Iorio, Mach-E vehicle engineering manager, shared some details on workflow and images of EV’s prototypes with Electrek.

Luckily, the core engineering work was done at the end of February and there are only several tweaks left. Although, all of that should be done despite the pandemic. Iorio say that if there were no quarantine now, each prototype would be road-tested with 4-5 engineers inside. However, engineers had to pick the prototypes home and do their piece of work remotely, sharing the results online. Software developers are also working with the team - they are able to update the software online if there is a need for that.

So far Mustang Mach-E is expected to enter the market on schedule - by the end of this year. The only version that may be a bit late is Mach-E GT - that trim is expected to enter production from mid-2021.
