In the beginning of this month fleet management company Venso Automotive Solutions conducted a study asking several hundreds of UK consumers about their intention to buy an electric car after seeing the effect pandemic had on the air quality in major cities. The latter had dramatically improved after the global restriction to drive without an important reason.

The research shows that 17% of respondents had already decided to purchase an EV as their next car and now are just assured in their decision. 45% replied that they saw how clean the air may be without automotive emissions and now consider buying an electric car, while 19% will definitely buy an EV and others consider the purchase in next 5 years. In contrast, the similar study showed that consumers are willing to watch at the electric cars market development in next 10-15 years before considering the purchase.
