Cruise’s self-driving cars are permitted to enter streets of California without human drivers

Cruise representatives say that their self-driving prototypes will be the first ones to drive through San-Francisco without humans behind the wheel. Even though Cruise is not the first startup to get such permission, they claim A milestone for GM’s self-driving tech startup be the first who let their cars to drive themselves in such complicated environment as SF rather than some small towns.


As well, Cruise reports that their Chevy Bolt prototypes already driven over 2 million miles in SF with drivers and now it’s the time for a real challenge. Driverless rides launch is scheduled for the end of 2020 with a smooth expansion to all San-Francisco areas.
