Major automakers continue to prepare for the launch of electric cars mass production. Earlier we already received reports on VW stopping several of its assemble lines, while last week BMW made its move.
Last week Bavarian automaker claimed that its factory in Munich, where its HQ is also located, was stopped for over than a month. During the off time BMW is going to upgrade the facility to produce electric cars of new generation, especially the i4.

BMW plant in Munich will resume operation on September 7, though the i4 production launch should happen next year. Admirably, after the modernization BMW will be able to produce gasoline, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles on the same line.
