Yesterday General Motors unveiled the production version of a Hummer EV — all-electric supertruck. The automaker announced impressive specs, as well as impressive price tags.
Hummer EV will be available in 4 trims:
Edition 1, $112.595 (sold-out): limited production, launches in 2021, specific specs are unknown
EV2, $79,995: 402 km (250 miles) range, 625 hp, two electric motors
EV2X, $89,995: over 480 km (350 miles) range, 625 hp, two electric motors, adaptive air suspension with AWD and CrabWalk mode
EV3X, $99,995: launches fall 2022, 800 hp, over 480 km (350 miles) of range, tri-motor configuration with torque vectoring and all equipment from other versions.
GM also claims Hummer EV’s batteries to be able to charge via 800-volt chargers, adding up 100 miles of range each 10 minutes of charging.
Despite the CrabWalk (allowing to turn all 4 wheels in one direction and crawl like a crab) there is one more function for off-road. It’s called UltraVision — a set of armored cameras underneath a car that transfer the image to a driver’s display.
