Yesterday Tesla reached yet another milestone, becoming the first ever automaker to produce 1,000,000 electric cars. Red Model Y became the anniversary vehicle. There is no other automaker getting close to such numbers of EV volume production.⠀
By the way, Tesla plans to reach over than half of that amount in annual production rate already this year: by the end of 2020 Fremont factory should reach annual production volume of 500,000 cars, while Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai aims at 150,000 cars at the same period.
