Tesla may launch its Uber-like service with human drivers before Robotaxi

Tesla Network and Robotaxi - Tesla’s upcoming autonomous taxi service - were one of the conversation points at the Tesla shareholders meeting.

While replying to the question from one of shareholders, Elon Musk admitted that Tesla may launch its Uber-like ridesharing service with human drivers before launching fully autonomous taxi. It means that Tesla owners will be able to earn some extra money driving their vehicles within the service, while the company is getting all necessary regulatory approvals for autonomous taxi.

Tesla will obviously benefit from such model. “Soft” launch with human drivers should help with fixing any issues of the service not connected with the ride process itself.
