The system is called AVAS and made specially for I-Pace. While driven slower than 20 km/h (12 mph), I-Pace makes special sound of 56 dB.

The sound was tested by Guide Dogs for the Blind - one of the biggest British funds, that helps blind and visually impaired.

AVAS idea only sounds simple - in reality, it has taken about 4 years for Jaguar engineers to develop the system. It turned out a real challenge to create a sound, that is recognizable from any side of the car, in any kind of environment, while being completely idle inside the car.

As a result, perfectly recognizable sound becomes stronger when the car accelerates and changes while going backwards.
