Hyundai launches EV brand IONIQ

IONIQ is not new trademark for Hyundai. There is a Hyundai IONIQ model being present in its lineup for a few years so far, having several versions: a hybrid, plug-in hybrid and pure electric car.

Though at the start of this week Hyundai announced the launch of a new subbrand with this name, that is going to produce electric cars. Moreover, Hyundai already confirmed three new models coming in next 4 years:

— IONIQ 5 — compact urban SUV, launch in early 2021;
— IONIQ 6 — midsize sedan, launch in 2022;
— IONIQ 7 — big family SUV, launch in early 2024.
